The Chesapeake Bay Blues Festival will return to Sandy Point State Park, in Annapolis, MD on Saturday, May 22nd and Sunday, May 23rd, 2010. In additon to the three charities we have had in the past: the Special Olympics of Maryland, Camp Face and WE Care, we have added a fourth charity to our beneficiaries, Special Love which operates a summer camp for children fighting cancer called Camp Fantastic. Like Camp Face, which gives kids who have spent as much time in the hospital as on a playground, Camp Fantastic gives children who are enduring not only the disease, but the treatment a much need vacation. It is heartwarming to note that most of the camp staff at Camp Fantastic are siblings and friends.
Our backdrop of the Bay Bridge and the historic Sandy Point Lighthouse will surely enhance our two days of incredible music. This year’s headliners include Chuck Berry and the return of Buddy Guy. The Festival will also feature great local music, foods of the Bay area, beer, wine, and a wonderful array of arts and crafts. This will be a great opportunity for you to acquire new customers and renew old acquaintances.
Gates open to the public at 10:30am and close at 8:00pm on Saturday, and 7:00pm on Sunday. The Festival grounds will open for set up Friday, May 21st at 1:00pm. On Saturday and Sunday, the grounds will be opened at 7:00am for set up. Due to strict rules by the state park, you must load-in using handtrucks or with the assistance of our gators driven by our staff. You will receive one parking pass for the CRAFTER parking lot with your kit. Craft persons should be off the grounds by 9:00pm each day, however, you may not leave until all patrons have safely left the venue. You may bring one addition person each day to help man your booth. You will receive two badges to get into the Festival. Your display area will measure 10’ x 15’ of uncovered space. If you wish to cover this area, you must provide your own 10’ x 15’ covering. You can purchase additional crafter passes and crafter parking (see application). If you are interested in more vending space or exclusivity for your items, please contact me to discuss additional fees. Only one licensed crafter is allowed to occupy one 10’ x 15’ space.
If you would like to participate, please return the form along with a check for $500.00, made payable to: Chesapeake Bay Events. Only completed applications sent with full payments will be considered. There is a very limited amount of space, so it will be first come first serve.
